Greetings Beading Friends!

In case you didn’t know, the month of March is National Craft Month as well as National Celery Month and assorted other special months. And then there are special days like March 4 is “Do Something Day”, March 8 is “International Women’s Day”, then we have St. Patrick’s day on the 17th , the first day of spring on the 19 th, and Easter on the 31st. Just in case you want a nap on March 15th, here is your excuse: you are celebrating “World Sleep Day”!

There are many, many other serious and not so serious occasion days in March but for us March is the beginning of the 2024 show season! Carrie and Brent will be in Peterborough on March 2 and 3 and then Carrie will be at the Children and Youth Pow Wow in Ottawa on March 16 and 17. These shows always add a bit of excitement to our lives as we look forward to seeing people we know and meeting new people and getting new ideas about things we could look for to serve you better.

Turning back to the idea of National Craft Month, March weather gets us dreaming about spring but the weather is usually not appropriate for creative outdoor pursuits like gardening. Maybe spring fever can launch some new ideas for you. Also the TOHO Bead Challenge kits have beautiful colours to inspire you. Our new velvet glass beads have intrigued a number of people visiting the store in the last 2 weeks. The colours are beautiful!

Very best wishes for the month of March and we hope you enjoy some of the special days mentioned above!

Meredith, Brent and Carrie
